5th July 2008

Thu Jun 25, 2009, 7:20 PM
5th July 2008

Currently in Melbourne and I fear I am in great trouble....
That trouble being my ever increasing love for this town and the people in it. I knew this week would undoubtedly be the acid test on whether I could handle being a permanent resident... and to my surprise and slight sadness I find that I could...EXTREMELY easily.

Kat's friends have all been fantastic and most of them are siding with her pleas for me to move here. There are just so many pros about moving here!

-Greater Art community

-More Jobs

-Melbourne has just as much if not more, sexy old school architecture, hidden in side alleys and such

-Kats friends-
Some of the nicest people I have ever met, who have not only in the last 2 days welcomed me but have also included me in their worlds, no questions asked! There is no fakeness with them. Well at least not on my behalf. I feel there is no reason not to be myslef around these people...In short, they are the SHIZ!

The only problem is Adelaide is my home and although it is only a 50 min flight away, I still fear leaving it and my past and my home.

I thought that some of the metaphysical imagery was really particularly effective. Interesting rhythmic devices too, which seemed to counterpoint the surrealism of the underlying metaphor of the humanity of the poet's compassionate soul...
:iconlaura-jayne21:
Ill do one after I get back as I wont be there on the 5th of July!
:iconlaura-jayne21:
I'm back on the 9th July til the 14th! And many times after that :P

'Well, blow me down and call me Charlie.'
'... Can I just call you Charlie?'
'No, you have to blow me too.'
*Awkward Silence*
'My bad. Please, just call me Charlie.'
